Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Android app Modern CV (package name com.moderncv.app), a free resume maker that works offline.

None. The app has no login, no account and no server of its own. We do not receive your name, contact details, photo, resume content or files.

Your resume details and photo are saved only in the app's private storage on your phone.

PDFs you download are saved in the Download/ModernCV folder on your phone. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose to share a PDF yourself.

The app reads only the one photo you pick with Android's photo picker. It cannot see the rest of your gallery.

The app is free because it shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device type and how you interact with ads. Google handles this under its own policy: How Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Your resume content is never shared with the ad network. You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation in your phone's Settings, under Google › Ads.

• Internet: used only to load ads.
• Storage (Android 8 and 9 only): used to save your PDF in the Download folder.

Delete saved PDFs from My resumes in the app. To remove everything, clear the app's data in your phone's Settings or uninstall the app. Since we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing to delete on our side.

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page and shown in the app, with a new "last updated" date.
